2010 Chrismas Part 2

Everything is out of order but Blogger isn't the easiest when it comes to setting the pictures and videos up. So here is the rest of the trip in no specific order.

Grandpa with Micah.

We brought the Wii and some games Josh and Erin let us borrow. The kids loved it...and so did Sarah. (Thanks Josh and Erin!)

We got some family pics right before we left. Here are my Mom and Dad with all the grand kids. My man Kaleo was not happy with grandpa for some reason, but then he cheered up.

Here we have Sarah, Micah, Noa and I. My sister Sonya and Jordan. Mom, Dad, and Mailelagi. Keola, Talia, Anita and happy boy Kaleo.

This is for my sisters. We forgot to get a pic of this before we left so this is what Micah looked like with his Santa outfit...he might be cursed wit da big head like daddy--we had to just sit the cap on his head.

This was Christmas morning. Everyone had a blast. Here is Noa all excited for gifts. He opened his and I thinked helped everyone else with theirs...he's nice like dat.

Noa's cousin Mai is such a hugger. She would pick Noa up, hug him, and kiss him all the time.

The night before the Christmas we had a baby Talia's baby blessing. Here is Talia with Sarah.

We then had a dinner and later smores. The kids played with bubbles while we got the smores ready.

SMORE FACE!

Kids in a smore trance.

Kids, "Uncle can I have more smores...you're my favorite uncle."
Me, "I know."

We took the kids to a jump place with a lot stuff too small for me to get on. But the kids had fun.

Grandpa with all the kids.

Just a lil drill I made Noa do to get ready to run da rock in football. It's never too early to train.

Action shot!

What?

Well we ate a lot of good food and had a lot of fun. Thanks to my parents and sisters for the wonderful time. We miss you guys. I love my family very much. I grateful for them. Can't wait for the next trip.

Christmas 2010 part 1

Come with us on our Christmas trip: (I thought I'd add in my two cents too. Hope you don't mind Tau, thanks for posting)

First we drove down to Arizona in a blizzard! The drive is usually 10-12 hours, but it took us 18. It was coming down so hard that the first stretch that should've been 2 hrs took us 5 and we had to go 25 mph. Tau was white knuckling it the whole time. We tried to stop and get a hotel, but everyone else had the same idea and they were all full. We finally did find a place that had rooms, but the cars had what looked like 2 feet of snow on them. I convinced Tau that we had gotten this far and it would be better if we just finished driving through it so we wouldn't get snowed in.

It was a good thing because we heard in the morning that they had gotten snowed in and cars were stuck. We got through the snow two hours later and it was smooth sailing from there. Poor Tau looked like a nervous wreck. He is our hero.  I would've been crying the whole time if I were the one driving.

These pictures were taken by Tau, early morning at the better parts of the snow blizzard. The worst parts were in the night. You couldn't see 5 ft in front of you and Tau wouldn't have dared try and take pictures then.

After we got passed all of the snow we stopped near Page, AZ to look at the dam and stretch our legs. Noa gave it a thumbs up!

Micah and Noa were great travel companions. Micah slept almost the whole time. It helped that we left in the middle of the night, but with Noa, we couldn't have done it without the dvd player and Baby Einstein.

Here's another stop on our way. Panorama....not bad huh?

Then we took a ride on Route 66 stopping at a Diner, Drive-Inns, and Dives place we found online. Salsa Brava! Yes the salsa was crazy hot. This was my Christmas present from Tau. I love triple D and  drool constantly when I watch the show. I am always saying one day I want to take a road trip and visit all the places they feature. Well Tau listened. He actually found a few on the way for us to stop at, but the blizzard put our timing off so we just got to stop here. Still I think it's super cute that he remembered and made my "one day" a "today" and let us stop.
The food was just as good as it looked on tv. I was in flavor burst heaven. Tau couldn't handle the heat :) but in all fairness, his dish made it so you couldn't taste anything after the first bite. Mine was more mild.

18 hours later we arrived in Mesa, AZ. That was the trip down. Look for more about the rest of the trip.

Twins!

Haha, I thought that might get peoples attention. Just wanted to share some photos with all those people wondering who Noa and Micah look more like.

Micah at 3 months and baby Tau.

Sarah at 5 months  and Micah at 3 1/2 months.

Noa and Tau. I love this one. Now I know where Noa gets all his facial expressions from.

Noa and Sarah

We may not look identical at the same ages as our kiddies, but I think if you look hard enough there are some similarities. What do you think? Any resemblance to one of us or a perfect mix of the two of us?

Costumes!

We forgot to post about the kids costumes! Well Superman made an appearance several times during October. You can see some of his heroics here. Sarah was a cat and I tried for Clark Kent but nobody really got it...oh well.
Here you can see some of Superman's other sides that he only shows to those close to him. Especially his lil bro...Pumkin.
  1. Happy
  2. Kissy face
  3. Scared
  4. Spaced out
  5. Silly
  6. Loving...what a guy.
Then a Jet Li made an appearance during October to show us some of his moves. Let me take you through his crazy finishing move above:
  1. First he lulls the opponent in to relaxing with his sweet smile.
  2. Then a PUNCH TO DA FACE!
  3. KICK TO DA FACE!
  4. A little spin...just to show off.
  5. Another KICK TO DA FACE...with some attitude.
  6. He then flexes on his opponent.
  7. Then he realizes he's hungry...
  8. Real hungry.
