Happy Birthday Tau!

Sometimes thoughtful words are the best gift you can give, so if you know Tau please take a minute to leave a birthday comment with a favorite memory or something you admire about him.

My sister did this for her husband and I thought it was a great idea so... I'll start!

Favorite Memory: I couldn't just pick one so here are a few

1) Dancing in Living Legends with you. We shared in so many special experiences with that group that I will never forget. I got to see the desires of your heart there and hear your sweet testimony often. That is when I fell in love with you.

2) Our many attempts to scare each other in our first house, but my favorite was when I stuffed pillows in the bed to look like me and hid behind the door. Then I watched as you crawled in, threw up the covers, and yelled. The yell just went higher as I jumped out from behind the door and screamed... haha I am still laughing about that. Guess you had to be there. Your face was the best.

3) Seeing your reaction after Noa and Micah were born and watching you hold each one in your arms for the first time.

4) Watching you wrestle with the boys, teach them sports and how to treat the ladies, your attempts to dress and feed them ... pretty much I love watching you be a dad.

5) Disney World. That's all I need to say about that.

Something I admire about you:

Your love for the gospel and for Heavenly Father. You have a passion for it and aren't afraid to share it. Your love for your family. You are always striving to put us first and do what's best for us. It's so hard to get you to do things for yourself. Your level head and frugality, how you help around the house even after an exhausting day, that you comment on everyones blogs and facebook posts, and your easy going personality. You make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. And finally, your pure awesomeness and attractiveness. I love you Tau and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!

Hahaha! That story of you scaring Tau is hilarious! Wish I couldn't witnessed it. So funny!

I love Tau because he is a man with the right priorities. It's so clear when you talk to him that providing for his family and being the best father and husband for them is number one. And right there with it is his commitment to the gospel. I love that Tau will post links to inspiring talks and messages on Facebook. The general authorities have encouraged us to do that but sometimes I'm afraid because I wonder what my non-mmber friends will think. Tau isn't afraid and he inspires me to share my testimony more freely. I agree with Sarah that it's so awesome how Tau comments other people's blogs and facebook updates. That goes such a long way in helping us feel connecting and important to you guys and your family. Tau values work and has a great work ethic. He also can totally rock the facial hair and dances a mean tahitian!

Happy Birthday Tau! you are an awesome brother in law and I'm so glad you are part of our family!

Happy Birthday Tau! It's been great working with you the past several years. It's been mostly enjoyable :). No, we've had some great times together and I look forward to many more. Tau's a hard worker who keeps everything "real." He does use most our office's budget when we go out to eat...

Oh, and thanks for making me feel insecure with your beard!

I've learned alot from his example in my life. I'm very blessed to have Sarah has my daughter-in-law who makes my son very happy and is a very good mother to there two sons. I pray he will continue to grow in the gospel and know heavenly father loves him very much.

When we were roomies I really had a great opportunity to see what a honorable priestholder is and should be (ie Tau). Tau I am always so impressed with how you just "get it" in the sense of the eternal perspective--even though just looking at you you come off as a thug. As far as my favorite memories... I got a lot of them but I will always remember you running after someone in your sleep. After witnessing that I am glad it wasnt me. Haha.. good times.

Things I love about Tau:
1. The dude can eat. Its like clock work...two bites, drink, two bites, drink. No talking, just eating.

2. He calls me "Money", which is a nickname I earned during high school basketball, and no longer deserve because a) I don't have any money and b) I'm not any good at basketball anymore. But I like that Tau keeps the legend of "Money" alive.

3. He's a great athlete. Volleyball, golf, whatever, the dude always had game, but never made anyone else feel like they suck, even if they did.

4. He's a good man. Tau is the real deal. Genuine, down to earth, committed to Gospel, hard worker, and a great dad.

Happy Birthday buddy.

Josh

I first got to know him at church teaching the Gospel Principles class-- He's a natural and is so down to earth and it makes it easy to be around the guy! I love that he isn't offended when I make fun of 'the beard'cuz' he's ready to get you right back at the perfect moment! Have a great B-day man!!
